I advocate for land use management that benefits biodiversity, forest resiliency, and communities, as well as adapt policies and regulatory approaches to protect and conserve North American wildlife and their habitat, grounded by scientific evidence, expert knowledge and using multiple knowledge systems. I coordinate and design conservation initiatives that use research and weave Indigenous Knowledge and Western science to identify ecological values, historical impacts and new threats - and solutions. Working across jurisdictional borders and sectors to lead meaningful long-term collaborations, I lead multi-partner collaborative work with provincial and federal governments, Indigenous communities, environmental groups, and industry partners.
