As Lead Web Publisher at Sainsbury’s Bank, I was responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management and publishing of digital content across the bank’s website. My role involved collaborating closely with Engineering, UX, Marketing, SEO, Analytics and Commercial teams to ensure timely and effective execution of updates, product launches, and site enhancements. My role was to provide web publishing services to support rbs.co.uk, natwest.com and around 5 other smaller sites including NatWest/RBS stockbrokers and Ulster bank. Providing web support expertise to stakeholders and staff and supporting the continuous improvement programme in general. Providing web consultancy to group businesses, ensuring website changes are delivered using appropriate processes, standards and guidelines and are DDA compliant.

Working as part of a team to make the Tesco Bank website responsive, an approach to web design in which a site is crafted to provide an optimal viewing experience. Easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones).

In charge of the small change team at RBS, Gogarburn. Prioritising the workload for a team of web publishers. We worked from a change management system to make anything from a one word change to a new section of the website. Very fast paced environment where attention to detail was of paramount importance. Working with highly sensitive data such as daily exchange rates, mortgage and savings rates and so on.Role was to provide web publishing services to support rbs.co.uk, natwest.com and around 5 other smaller sites including Natwest/RBS stockbrokers and Ulster bank. In my role as web developer I worked with all the departments in the business to ensure the web was used as a strong communication tool within London Councils. The role involved working with the content management system to keep the site up to date, approving web journalist’s work before publishing on the site. Creating and managing all of London Councils email marketing campaigns and newsletters. Using a range of tools, including google analytics to produce reports on website statistics and making recommendations for improvement. Ensuring that the London Councils website, intranet and affiliate sites conform to usability and accessibility standards. Managing all London Councils Affiliate sites using Dreamweaver, Contribute and Fireworks. In my role as Implementation Specialist I worked very closely with the new business team, business development team, and the marketing department translating user advertising and communication requirements for websites. I regularly conducted client meetings as the technical lead.

I was employed as part of a web design team to redesign and build the Parity website. The role involved liaising with several different departments within the company to gather business requirements for the new website. This involved analysis of the old site to gain an understanding of what aspects were most important to change. The ideas for the new design and structure had to be presented to the department heads outlining the major advantages of the new site in terms of user experience and stickiness.

I was employed as a retail development executive by Camelot the operator of the National Lottery. I was in charge of sales and marketing strategies within the top ten multiple retailers in various locations throughout Scotland. The role involved analysing performance figures, making comparisons and projections and advising on ways to grow the business. I met and presented to senior management and set targets for change and then reviewed performance over a set time period.
