As RDA I work behind the scenes during recruitment to manage recruitment platforms and organize data to ensure an efficient and equitable process for both active members and potential new members. I also serve as a member of ERB, the Executive Recruitment Board, to discuss the logistics of recruitment throughout the year to guarantee smooth operation of the recruitment process in its entirety (including active member practices, recruitment rounds, and the welcoming of new members). This is a 2 year position, as the first year consists of shadowing the previous RDA, and the second consists of teaching the next one.

During my term as ritualist for the Chi chapter, it was my responsibility to teach new members the importance of Theta ritual, prepare active members to participate in ritual, plan initiation and other related services, and lead ritual during formal chapters. History and ritual are one of the many things I cherish about being in a sorority because it brings members closer together as we all share special traditions separate from anyone else on campus.

As president of the Theta Lambda chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, I returned the chapter to normalcy post-pandemic. Aside from normal duties, my chapter was specifically marked on the "high priority list" due to our difficulty with recruitment post-pandemic. Because of this, one of my primary responsibilities was to maintain frequent communication with members of Headquarters, and present any concerns and plans of action in regard to the operation of the chapter. Although my decision to transfer universities cut my term short, I was able to formulate a 3-year plan to push the chapter towards success.

After becoming proficient in the menu and flow of the restaurant through hosting, food running, and food prepping, I worked my way up to a serving position at the Bernie’s Brother restaurant.
