I am a medical student at UCSF. My research and clinical interests are in the week preceding and week following chronic and terminal diagnoses, and specifically how medical systems can be transformed to better support patients' quality of life during these windows.Prior to this, I coordinated studies with the Pediatric Pain Lab at Stanford University and the Multiple Sclerosis and Sickle Cell Groups at UCSF. In these roles I had the pleasure of working directly with patients and families navigating various health conditions. In my 7 years as a coordinator, I gained insight into conducting biomarker and imaging studies, RCTs, mobile intervention pilots, first in human gene therapies, and experimental paradigms, all under the guidance of interdisciplinary teams. In my later years as a senior coordinator, I became responsible for regulatory aspects of clinical trial startup and management, and improving clinical research systems at UCSF.
