I set up Penhouse Design over 25 years ago, in a small top floor studio in Dawson Street Dublin. Three years later I moved to Ratheniska in Laois and converted old cow sheds on our farm into a design studio in the countryside near Stradbally. Today I work with 3 other great creatives from our freshair studios, where our individual skillsets complement each other nicely. We are a team of senior designers and strategic thinkers. We create logos and design brand identities with product/business naming and tag line generation, packaging design, illustration, infographics, marketing literature, annual reports, digital design & display.Our better known clients at Penhouse include the OPW, Gov Departments like DECC, DCEDIY, Agriculture, Taoiseach, Education, The Heritage Council, NPWC, Tusla, GAA, Bord Bia, Vodafone, Lily O'Brien's, Lyrath Estate, Carlow, Clonakilty, Laois, Slieve Bloom and Clare Tourism groups as well as various county councils, partnerships and smaller private businesses. We work with many SMEs and larger private businesses too all over Ireland, some for many years, many of them now friends. I personally like designing for, youth, environmental, non-profit, food and tourism sectors, creating designs, always refreshing a vision. Where possible, I love to illustrate too, dipping into my first love from college days :)In the food sector, Penhouse is currently one of only five design companies in Ireland, selected by Bord Bia, for specific skills to work on their SuperBrands programme. As such we have a particular expertise in food branding, naming and messaging as well as packaging design and consumer insight.Our team at Penhouse has consistently collected a wide range of design recognitions since the business began, both nationally and internally, including multiple gold, silver and grand prix awards, for creative design and marketing effectiveness. Meanwhile, I have been a panelist on a number of design and business initiatives over the years, invited for mentoring, judging, business support and enterprise.
