My remit was to improve the boarding provision, which was in special measures in September 2017. In March 2018 the school's boarding provision was deemed as 'requiring improvement' in a full boarding inspection.

Lincolnshire teaching and learning centre (Pupil Referral Unit) was in special measures in April 2016 when I was asked to step in to raise standards. In the November HMI monitoring visit we were allowed to appoint NQTs and had improved the quality of teaching and learning from 25% effective to 80% effective. We academised on April 1st 2017. Gill's appointment in Lincolnshire was the catalyst for real and lasting change that was secured over a one year period in a context rich in challenges: four separate sites spread across rural Lincolnshire, very limited staffing capacity, few effective systems, low morale, fragile confidence and very challenging daily circumstances.Gill led two successful HMI Section 8 reviews with confidence and with a clear future vision. Swindon- My first teaching position in a small yet very challenging school. I taught History, Geography and RE to the age range of 11-16.

I ran a busy gallery where I was responsible for hiring staff; setting budgets; organizing exhibitions; marketing events; commissioning new artists and providing excellent customer care. We were one of the most successful galleries in the CCA group.

CCA Galleries, London. I placed Art in to a corporate environment. This included sculpture, original works, limited edition prints and ceramic ware.

Oxford. Duties involved European travel , organising book exhibitions in English speaking Schools (BFPO, International schools). I travelled extensively around the U.K to state schools and Educational Conferences.
