Building the new Complex dot com with Shopify Hydrogen/Oxygen!• Led the migration of the Complex Shop's Shopify storefront to a headless architecture using Hydrogen, integrating Sanity CMS to align e-commerce functionality with Complex.com article content, resulting in a more cohesive user experience across platforms.• Directed the initial implementation of Sanity CMS, designing and deploying custom schemas to streamline content management and ensure smooth integration between the e-commerce site and the broader content ecosystem of Complex.com.• Collaborated closely with the product manager to advise on technology stack decisions, optimizing development workflows and mentoring the team on best practices with Remix and Shopify storefront API, ultimately ensuring our ability to deliver on roadmaps.

Building Fashion Nova's new Shopify, Hydrogen2 Remix site with Oxygen,• Rapidly prototyped headless, full-stack, and serverless React 18 e-commerce websites on Remix/Hydrogen and NextJs to be presented to VPs and stakeholders, weighing the pros & cons of each framework along with cloud hosting cost estimates• Designed and implemented a Jenkins job to automate creating a staging environment for the website, resulting in a streamlined deployment, enhanced QA testing, early bug detection, and efficiency improvements that helped bolster our production quality.• Collaborated on the migration and adaption of an existing React Native application to `react-native-web`, preparing for a seamless multiplatform user experience across web and mobile devices while ensuring a shared codebase and reduced developer overhead.

• Co-authored a new feature into Shopify’s core Theme Editor allowing merchants to add custom CSS to suit their stores’ vision without touching the code editor, using React in congruence with enterprise-level Redux-state to render embedded editor apps• Wrote warning and error diagnostics Typescript functions that parse Merchant’s custom CSS input and convert it into UI feedback informing merchants if they’re writing invalid CSS incompatible with our scope and preventing malicious injections into our backend.• Spearheaded the redesign work our Shopify’s Theme Admin page, creating custom React components in tangent with Shopify’s Polaris component library to improve Merchant clarity on their Theme library’s pending update and their store’s status. • Wrote frontend instrumentation events for data tracking of Merchant’s workflow on the Theme Index page, A/B testing newly redesigned UX with proprietary software and Kafka topics to infer if users clicked or where there was the most friction in updating• Developed a comprehensive technical document outlining the rationale behind instrumentation features and functionality implemented in our open-source components library, which continues to serve as a reference for the current ownership team• Worked on a new feature prototype for Shopify’s Theme Editor, collaborating with the UX team and building through multiple iterations of content, views, and functionality which I presented to the senior leadership team to get a go for the build phase.

• Built a complete enterprise pricing page with multiple nested React Contextes with TypeScript by creating modular slider components that mapped to our API prices, and upholding Flux architecture principles through continuous design iterations• Enacted a search-input feature by leveraging GraphQL to query local YAML files, storing data into an index-store relationship json that programmatically builds out pages with navigation and search functionality for various developer documentation pages• Assembled modular react components including an SVG-Icon component that maps, parses, styles, and configures ESRI’s Abstract svgs, additionally decoupling the component hierarchy to allow illustrations and custom built svgs to be rendered correctly.• Adhered to CDD & TDD principles by creating React Functional custom components using Storybook to isolate and render the DOM’s functionality and responsiveness with media queries, as well as coupling the components with Snapshot and Unit tests • Stood up several custom GatsbyJS plugins using Node scripts to fetch SKU data from our API and bake the data on the server-side build-time for our monolith Gatsby-theme package to be used in multiple language/sdk-based ESRI repos for static sites

• Coordinated AWS SDK functionality across development roadmap, writing data traversal algorithms to analyze and configure AWS instances and generate an interactive network visualization of AWS instance infrastructure across all available regions• Refactored legacy GraphQL queries, halving the original codebase by using reusable fragments to prevent redundancies and optimize the returned non-conforming data from AWS services for modularity and future data implementations• Utilized React-Redux on the frontend for quick development feature integration while conserving data immutability, centralizing state management, and used dispatched actions to manage high-frequency, one-directional state transformations• Engineered async promise-chained functions to query RDS security group information based on previously queried EC2 data by promisifying several concurrent API calls to the AWS SDK and resolving multiple complex & deeply nested promises• Directed Cytoscape.js to render AWS, RDS, S3, Lambda functions, and EC2 instances and visualize security group relations between these services to provide intuitive models for configuration optionability across all virtual private cloud regions• Integrated Node.js file system functionality to securely handle user credential authentication for AWS SDK queries by leveraging Electron’s IPC library to securely write/delete credentials to user’s filesystem and send data between main and render processes
