Teach small groups of students reading two or more years below grade level to ensure they achieve grade-level decoding, fluency, and comprehension by the end of middle school. Create curriculum materials and professional development based on the science of reading for all interventionists at the school. Help teachers to plan lessons based on their students’ needs.

Planned and delivered curriculum centered on meaningful projects, group work, and choice. Ensured full participation of students with learning disabilities and English language learners, using universally accessible materials, small-group instruction, and differentiated scaffolds. Ran an advisory class that empowered students to support each other through the traumas that are common in a low-income community.
