I'm Infrastructure Analyst at the University of São Paulo, one of the largest higher education institutions in Brazil. In this role, I'm part of the Infrastructure and Data Center Networks Team, responsible for the management and configuration of all network assets and monitoring servers and management of data centers of the University.The systems and services running in data centers in our custody are of great importance to the University. These systems include human resource management systems, support services to students, teachers and researchers, messaging and collaboration platform (Zimbra) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform (InterNuvem initiative).Here, we live in an environment with several different manufacturers devices. For many people this can be a big problem. However, I believe this situation brings experience and knowledge in all kinds of environments commonly found in day-to-day business.This type of environment has contributed so I could specialize and make me some different topics and technologies such as Cloud Computing, Information Security and Network Virtualization.
