Responsible for the projects identification and deployment in the Business Improvement and Service department at MMG - Las Bambas, one of the 5 biggest copper mines in the world.

• Carry out contract negotiation process for the purchasing of material and supplies in general to meet operational requirements. • Deployments of reports regarding the purchase status, generating savings and buyers performance indicators.• Identification of purchasing issues and improvement opportunities. Propose and development of solution alternatives.• Critical purchases identification and prioritization with Operations areas.• Purchase of materials and supplies. Main purchasing lines: pumps, pipes, valves and electrical cables.

Responsibilities:• Identification and deployment of business solutions that provide local and corporate benefits, including the business knowledge through the process mapping and redesign.• Main link between internal customers of Operational areas and IT area. Responsible of Process, Maintenance and Operations areas; identifying, defining and deploying high impact projects.• Customer requirements identification, classification and administration. • Business Cases development for economic and technical approval in IT projects.• Frequent interaction with IT corporate to align the initiatives and projects to the corporate objectives.• Definition and development of IT indicators for projects managements and applications support processes.• Responsible of the support of the different software applications used in Yanacocha mine, looking for the service quality of the outsourced part and the internal support. Main Achievements:• Deployment of the IT governance, passing from a technical area to an strategical area that add value to the business. The relationship of the IT area with the internal areas was significantly improved, achieving the trust and satisfaction of the internal areas through the expectations management, process improvements and the establishment of quality standards for the IT service. • Initiatives Management Process Redesign: Project that is part of the IT Service Model which is based on the BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) and the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).• Electronic Gantt: Project that improved the control and follow up of the maintenance work orders, improving the heavy fleet deliverability in 7%. Investment: US$ 75K.• SCADA: Improvement and standardization of the industrial network, servers and applications of the Control System in two plants; avoiding system fall downs in 99%. Investment: US$ 350K.• SGDM Project: Development and deployment of a software to measure plant availability indicators.

Responsibilities:• Preventive and corrective maintenance of the Yanacocha’s technological equipment.• On-site Support to solve technical requirements and issues.
