For over 35 years, I have been using proven methods root-cause and needs analysis to discover problems and help my clients solve them. When the solution involves training, this is where I excel. In both the private and public sector, I have developed the knowledge and skill to: • Analyze the current situation to understanding where the client wants to be and where they are now. • Design an instructional solution appropriate for the situation, the learners (often employing adult learning theory and principles), and the available resources. • Develop the designed solution either with a team or on my own. • Implement the solution. • Evaluate to ensure the problem has been solved. If not, make necessary adjustments until the desired results are achieved.RESULTSIn my current position, the training I have designed has helped the learners to meet and exceed client metrics 90 days after training.DEVELOPMENT TOOLSWhile my primary focus has been design since 2006, my foundational skills are in development. I have a working knowledge of the following tools:• Adobe Flash and Animate, PhotoShop, Audition, Premiere, and RoboHelp.• HTML, CSS, JavaScript/ActionScript, and WordPress.• Microsoft Office, including Access and Visio. • Developing skills with Adobe Captivate.MANAGEMENTI have been a formal manager, supervising four full-time employees. In my various instructional designer roles, I have been the project lead with informal, project-based supervision of the team. These project roles have always included the responsibility to deliver the project on-time and on-budget.
