Smart health tracking starts with ViBo Health — we are creating a world where everyone can track their health status using a quick and painless wrist scan. Users receive actionable information on their direct and relevant metabolic measurements. Our goal is to transform healthcare to be truly personalized, precise, and predictive. We do this through non-invasive molecular spectroscopy (using advanced NMR) that customers can use daily, weekly, or whenever convenient. The ViBo Health Scanner will be a table-top device for high traffic locations like gyms or pharmacies. A health dashboard app will help our clients visualize and understand the results after each scan. ViBo Health Scanners are designed to acquire causal health insights through metabolomics, including vitamins, cholesterols, and diabetes parameters, giving deep insights and trends into health, wellness and fitness.

Adaptix is changing the way x-rays are made and what x-ray imaging will be able to do. As the Chief Science Officer I guide the development of our new x-ray source technology and the science behind the new applications. As a Managing Director, I make sure the board is kept informed and able to provide oversight and governance. As a co-Founder, I proselytize and do not rest until the word is heard.

Conducted research in particle beam physics and accelerator technology with the Particle Beam Physics Laboratory. Areas of interest included advanced accelerator research, and radiation production. These led to directing and conducting collaborations and experiments at laboratories on-campus and around the world. Additional areas of exploration included THz production and novel applications for accelerators. Beyond acting as a PI, I mentored students and staff on this project as well other research programs. I also served as a co-PI, research program scientific coordinator and chief scientist for multiple grants.

RadiaBeam Technologies manufactures particle accelerator components, diagnostics and turnkey accelerator systems. We also provide terahertz optics and detectors. RadiaBeam is actively developing new technologies to complement our existing product line, as well as performing R&D into accelerator systems for commercial applications.Our mission is to develop industry-changing devices from innovative technologies and ideas. We commercialize intellectual property developed in-house and acquired from research institutions. In the pursuit of truly outstanding devices, we will leverage our expertise in the areas of radiation production and measurement, as well as the expertise of new team members.

Physicist with the Accelerator Physics Group of the Advanced Photon Source. Primary work centered on the LEUTL Free Electron Laser project. LEUTL set a number of world records including first FEL to saturate in the visible and the UV. LEUTL opened the path to future x-ray lasers that will aid thousands of research scientists.Work included all aspects of the project including design and operation of the high power drive laser, developing and improving beam production, diagnostics, and beamline optics, and optical diagnostic design and operation. Beam tuning, data gathering and analysis as well as writing publication on the results was performed. Extensive interaction with and supervision of other scientists, engineers, technicians and support staff. Worked directly with engineers on control system and automation, optics specifications, as well as beam and optical diagnostics. Other research areas of interest included FEL modeling, high brightness beam generation and power beaming.

Worked with the ARES-T group of LASA, and Italian Government funded research laboratory, on various beam dynamics and experimental issues surrounding Transmutation of Nuclear Waste / Energy Amplifier (ADS) and the TESLA Test Facility. Work included scaling laws and beamline studies of intense proton linac driven spallation sources. Also engaged in the design, construction and testing of a high voltage extractor for cathode testing, material studies and beam dynamics experiments.
