Rubah di Selatan consists of the harmonisation of 4 vocals with different characteristics, ethnic instruments both acoustic and digital such as Sadatana, Rebana, Gamelan, Kecapi, etc., and modern instruments such as guitar, keyboard, sampling, etc. Born in Yogyakarta in 2015, Rubah di Selatan continues to bring its experiments around the world. In 2018 Rubah di Selatan won Trafficking Strategy: EUROPE CALLING and had the opportunity to tour Europe with destinations Amsterdam, Paris, Lille, Luxembourg and Munich. Rubah di Selatan tells the story of this European tour in a short documentary film entitled Rubah di Selatan: FROM PARIS TO PARIS. In 2019 Rubah di Selatan was one of the performers at the showcase festival in South Korea, namely ZANDARI FESTA. Rubah di Selatan pours its experiments into a collaboration with the POPULO Batik brand, Berlin, in the PURITY PROJECT for the product release in Tokyo in 2017. Rubah di Selatan also carries out several experiments in its shows, such as Rubah Lost in Puppets: the Rubah di Selatan concert in the version Shadow Puppets, Ruang Rubah Story: performance concert in 'house' and storytelling format, and also collaboration with other performances. The experiments carried out by Rubah di Selatan have not stopped and continue to this day. The search for ideas in traditions and culture in Indonesia that Rubah di Selatan continues to carry out and translate into their music, is a manifesto that continues to be adhered to today.
