He co-founded Upside Down Concepts in 1998, and as its CEO, helmed the company's growth from a small local outfit into a pioneer in international co-productions. The company produced award-winning film and television content for local and international audiences. In 2010, Gin Kai founded Silver Media Group, one of Southeast Asia's leading media asset development, management and investment companies. A specialist in structuring international collaborations, he has spearheaded film and TV co-productions with several countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. Desiring to push new frontiers in entertainment and Web3 technology, Gin Kai co-founded Stardust Digital in 2022. The company launched an operational metaverse and generated revenue within its first year as a start-up. Respected for his decades of experience and contribution to the industry, Gin Kai has been invited to share his expertise at various conferences and guest lecture at several institutions. He has also advised government agencies, associations and corporations on media investments, internationalisation and entertainment technologies. A passion that is even greater than his love for filmmaking is creating impact. Gin Kai has launched several projects to help poor and marginalised communities across Asia, including disaster relief and rebuilding, nutrition, education and capacity building.
