About Gina Carr
Having spent the last 25 years serving students with low vision or blindness, I have particularly enjoyed science. Constructing hands on experiments that incorporate touch and sound pushes one to be creative. Early on when the iPad was new, we used the video and timer to determine speed of small toy cars and large metal chime balls. Using a thin paper plate on a subwoofer with cornstarch paste allowed my students to feel what a sound wave looked like. Bringing in baby goats, ducks and snakes presented them with hands on opportunities.
