During this intensive two-week summer camp, I gained in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of neuroscience. The camp was divided into two parts:Week 1: Lectures and Workshops Attended lectures on advanced topics including neuronal communication, memory and computation, neurotechnology (EEG, artificial neural networks), data analysis, and predictive coding in schizophrenia. Explored specialized subjects such as language processing and the songbird brain. Participated in workshops focused on designing and presenting scientific research posters.Week 2: Research Project Collaborated with another NeuroCamp student under the guidance of a PhD candidate on a research project studying neuronal connectivity in the mouse hippocampus. Gained practical experience using a confocal microscope and image editing software for analyzing neuronal structures. Co-presented our research findings through both oral and poster presentations.

Building on my previous experience, I participated in an advanced neuroscience program that deepened my understanding of complex topics and honed my research skills.Advanced Coursework and Lectures: Engaged in in-depth lectures three times a week on various topics, including computational neuroscience, neuroimaging, neuropharmacology, cognitive neuroscience, neuroplasticity, and the neurobiology of sleep, learning, and memory. Expanded my knowledge in critical areas such as neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, psychiatric disorders, and neuroethics. Learned to critically read and summarize scientific papers associated with each lecture topic, developing the ability to efficiently extract and analyze key information from scientific literature.Capstone Project: Conducted an independent research project investigating the effects of intermittent fasting on cognitive performance in young adults. Applied advanced experimental design and analytical techniques to explore the relationship between nutrition and brain function.
