I am responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of the secure area of the property where I am assigned. I monitor the entrance and exit of personnel, vehicle, train and foot traffic utilizing CCTV cameras and by checking government credentials including but not limited to Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) and drivers’ licenses. I utilize a computer program to maintain records for all persons and vehicles entering and leaving the property. I also conduct screening of persons and vehicles, as required, according to the security level assigned to the property and report any incidents and/or suspicious activity to the proper individuals.

I was responsible for monitoring the staff, students, and guests entering and exiting the school using CCTV and checking for proper identification. I conducted foot patrols of the building and grounds associated with the school and reported any incident and suspicious activity to the proper individuals.

I was responsible for logging and reporting all activity and incidents at the site(s) I was assigned as well as preparing weekly reports. I answered phones and directed calls to the appropriate department. I screened visitors checking identification including drivers’ licenses, facility badges, TWIC card, and/or other documentation paperwork. I screened vehicles both personal and commercial for suspicious items before allowing access to the property and directing them to the appropriate location. My duties also included responding to emergencies including but not limited to medical, fire, bomb threats, flooding, hazmat, and other situations that required security assistance. I completed incident reports in relation to the above situations when they did occur and notified the appropriate individuals. While at this job, I received my certification as a Screening and Training Supervisor.
