Analytical Chemistry background with experience using GC, GCMS, ICP, wet chemistry, QA/QC, and mercury analysis. I also have experience with sample collection: groundwater, surface water and wastewater with some limited experience doing stack testing for mercury. I have also worked in a fully operational coal-fired power plant taking care of water chemistry, environmental and waste (according to EPA regulations), and CEMS (air pollution control monitoring systems: NOx, SOx, and CO2). I was also the safety chairman at the power plant. Other duties include data entry and analysis, procedure writing, report writing, and minor desktop publishing. I am currently the expert on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing (when possible) equipment in the laboratory. I am currently proficient in using methods from SW-846, the Federal Register, EPA, and Standard Methods.Specialties: ICP, GC, GCMS, wet chemistry, groundwater sampling, purchasing, safety chairman, QA/QC. Some experience with mercury testing and analysis.
