Not commonly discussed, pancreatic cancer has been affecting people and families all over the world. Since symptoms don’t necessarily show in the primal stages, pancreatic cancer is one of the most harmful diseases in the world as tumors form within the pancreas organ. In order to bring awareness and raise funds for pancreatic cancer research Purple Bindi started as an organization. The Bindi, a colored dot worn on the center of the forehead in Indian culture, represents the center of the human body where the mind and body remain in equilibrium. Our products stand by this definition for the purple that our company embodies, represents Pancreatic cancer, while the bindi represents the strength and determination that comes with overcoming cancer.

Developed a biochemical assay to measure the binding of histones to the DEFY motif of a histone chaperone protein at the Luk Lab (Department of Cell Biology and Biochemistry).

I researched and published paper on the effectiveness of post-treatment on pancreatic cancer patients, and participated in post-doctorate level lectures and discussions. I Gained essential research skills and learned to be self sufficient in finding answers to questions.
