The Executive Director of Culture & Community plays a pivotal role in advancing a culture of belonging both internal and externally. Thought leader, collaborator, and task manager for diversity, equity, and inclusion related initiatives, specifically ensuring the org is well positioned to foster a safe, fun, and inclusive work environment that is essential to delivering positive outcomes for youth. Key advisor to the CEO and executive leadership. Provide support for employee relations, policy development, and communications, recruiting, hiring, training, and retention. DEI training and education, community engagement on behalf of the organization.

Responsible for the creating, executing, and embedding DEI&A strategy in BGCWPA workplace and youth Club House cultures. DEI&A initiatives for the agency include DEI trainings and support for executive leadership, administration, club house staff, and youth programming. Work collaboratively with the VP of Advancement to engage BGCWPA alumni and the Director of Governmental Affairs.. Work collaboratively with Club House Directors to examine and improve DEI strategies. Content creation for weekly DEI newsletter and cultural recognition and celebration email blasts to staff and families. Provide LMS content for ongoing staff training. Provide DEI guidance in policy and procedures. Serve as the go to source of information for all DEI&A matters.

Responsible for creating trusted relationships between the MRCDC and the community of McKees Rocks. MRCDC is a Community Development Corporation that cares about the people by whom we are surrounded. Although MRCDC does not offer social services in the low income Borough of McKees Rocks, we are dedicated to transforming the landscape of our neighborhoods and lean heavily on the input of our residents.As Director of Community Engagement, I execute an engagement strategy that includes small business support, community surveying, creating engagement events and opportunities, serving as liaison to a variety of Pittsburgh organizational partners, recruiting, training, and supervising the MRCDC Ambassadors. The Ambassadors are six residents dedicated to building bridges between the MRCDC and residents by promoting good will and partnerships with local organizations and the Borough. They are also charged with educating residents about the role of the CDC in the community and have a critical role in the HUD Choice Neighborhood Planning Grant awarded the Allegheny County Housing Authority.As Director, I report to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. I sit on the Real Estate Advisory Board and represent the MRCDC at outside conventions and summits where necessary.
