Gina was able to work well with many different personalities and I would recommend her wholeheartedly." and "As an intern, Gina regularly impressed me with her contributions to the team. She was always happy to contribute in any capacity needed and take on projects and had the ability to anticipate needs and take action. Her proactive attitude and her attention to detail lead me to hire her as Conference Assistant for Blue Vision Summit 4 and the Peter Benchley Ocean Awards.
Blue Vision Summit 4 was a four-day conference for 400 participants. As Conference Assistant, Gina’s primary responsibilities were coordinating a lobby day on Capitol Hill for conference attendees and coordinating volunteers. The lobby day involved managing a committee comprised of government relations staff from marine non-profits and interested individuals, ensuring that meetings with congressional offices were scheduled for all conference participants, developing informational materials for the website and handouts, and leading a training event at the conference. Volunteer management included recruiting, training and supervising volunteers.
In her time with Blue Frontier, Gina also conducted outreach calls to marine groups around the country and contributed significantly to our social media efforts.
Gina is hard worker and eager to take on new challenges. She is extremely passionate about ocean issues and demonstrated an interest in both science and policy."
