Gina Leonard is a producer, director, and creative alchemist with over 20 years of entertainment industry experience. Building on a career as a producer of commercials, music videos and film, she brings flawless artistic instincts, a great eye, and precision to the helm of LUCIDMEDIA.Gina owned and operated Gertie Productions for 15 years, where she produced commercials for giants like Nike, McDonald’s and Budweiser, and hundreds of music videos for legends like Rihanna, Jay Z, Kanye West and Janet Jackson.Gina’s awards include the 2005 MTV Video Music Award for Best Male Video (Kanye West, “Jesus Walks”), the 2009 MTV Video Music Award for Best Male Video (TI, “Live Your Life”), and countless nominations including Best Female Artist of the Year at the VMA’s (Fergie) and a Grammy nomination for The Killers’ “When You Were Young.” She also won Best Documentary (San Diego Film Festival) and the Humanitarian Vision Award (Newport Beach Film Festival) for the 2005 feature length documentary “Sonny Boy” directed by Soleil Moon Frye.Her short films include “The Suite,” helmed by Marc Webb, director of SPIDERMAN (1&2). Gina also produced “The Youth in Us” for Joshua Leonard, an Official Sundance Selection and First Place Winner of the Palm Springs International ShortFest. In 2013 she produced the full-length narrative feature “Loopers.”Gina is a California native who studied French and Film at the Sorbonne in Paris. She is active in the Palm Springs community, working with Desert AIDS Project, The Palm Springs Art Museum and the Palm Springs International Film Festival, producing all their commercials for the last three years.
