Founder and CEO, Kinlia (https://kinlia.com/), a mobile/web tech platform whose mission is to use AI for good to combat the loneliness crisis through facilitating in-person community building and human connecting. Kinlia partners with event venues, event organizers and community builders to help them grow through improved discovery, marketing and revenue generation. For consumers, Kinlia breaks the negative loneliness loop using AI to create event recommendations with aligned consumers, resulting in increased event attendance and community engagement. I started my career as a journalist with The Economist Group in Hong Kong. Leveraging my journalism expertise, I transitioned to public relations and marketing in San Francisco to become VP Marketing at Kleiner Perkins-back B2B start-up Nonstop Solutions (purchased by Manhattan Associates) and then CMO at rich media software start-up MetaStories (purchased by BrightCove).Diving deeper into storytelling and communications, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue filmmaking. I won numerous awards for my fiction, documentary and commercial work including screening films at Sundance, short-listed for Academy Award, Best Director, Best Documentary Short, and a Silver Telly.I returned to technology first as CMO at consumer app Reacha, then as Founder and CEO of dating app Kindra Connect, and now building Kinlia. The communications, producing and creativity skills I have built up over the years are serving me well as a visionary leader.
