I am a Nurse who was actively practicing for 22 years. I have had the privilege of providing patient care from birth throughout the life cycle. I am currently working in Business Development with TeleSpecialists, a TeleNeurology service to enhance hospital systems with comprehensive Neuroscience program solutions. Previously, I worked as a hospital Stroke Program Coordinator that developed programing to help obtain DNV Primary Stroke Center Certification. I was the Nursing Rounding delegate for the TeleNeuro program broadening the service line to the community. I have served in an educator role with a focus in critical care. I have also worked alongside the Nurse Residency program developing and outlining orientation to transition new nurses to their roles as nursing professionals. I have also served as the Assistant Director of the ICU/SCU unit in a rural hospital in Thomaston, Georgia for a year. I have worked as an RN in the ICU department for 4 years where I have gained many different skill sets that have broadened my nursing career. I consider myself proficient in managing CRRT, TTM, and patients that require hemodynamic monitoring. I am midline certified and Stroke certified. I have obtained my CCRN certification, ACLS, & BLS certifications. Most recently I have ASLS certification and am a certified ASLS instructor. I can circulate the Preop department, OR and PACU. I am quite familiar with all aspects of Surgical Services including chart audits, infection control records and requirements for maintaining JCAHO and DNV certifications. I am a medical device super user and have several years experience with patient education and formulating relevant individualized plans of care. My leadership skills managing, educating, and influencing staff members have been proven in my work. I seek out challenging work environments where I can exercise my diverse skill sets to the fullest extent while providing a positive experience. My professional and personal goals are to IMPACT, no matter how small, the lives of everyone I encounter.
