Designing for a variety of large and small clients on a per project basis: service design, design strategy, design research, product concepts, UI prototypes and design. Example work:- Drove an iterative, user-centered design process for the initial launch of a local government communication platform as part of a rapid 6-month city-level COVID response in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies and Johns Hopkins U- Designed visuals for KPIs, dashboards, and communication modules; iterated with user research and feedback - Built consensus from staff level to C-suite on a user-research informed product vision through interactive prototypes; ensured funding contract by creating MVP for a local government communication platform for COVID-19- Crafted research plan, including a displacement experiment to simulate a “shop-along” in-field observation - Led 24 2-hour interviews and facilitated team discussions to translate user research findings into an actionable strategy for a confidential client’s new computing device- Created, coded, and analyzed 3-part diary study for 50 participants- Socialized findings in weekly client meetings; provided weekly interview summaries and analysis iterations- Delivered a reference report with raw data, insights, and recommendations

Facilitated a 10-week qualitative research course for business and engineering students focused on interviewing, displacement experiments, and data synthesis to develop new perspectives for wicked problems in complex systems

- Set the vision, defined team roles, wrote job descriptions, and hired for an internal consulting team- Led and managed an internal consulting team of 6 on the design and integration of a pharmaceutical supply chain platform with an electronic medical record- Authored technical design and specification documents for software developer use

- Led the creation of process flows, journey maps, blueprints, and user requirements from qualitative and quantitative research to transform a paper-based PHI and clinical trial management system into a FDA Phase I /II, GDP, GCP, and HIPAA-compliant electronic medical record and a streamlined clinical service flow; managed team of 9- Conducted user and stakeholder research to assess the scalability of product inventory and processes as part of technology transfer task force during company merger; generated process flow maps and efficiency recommendations

- Led a team of 3 on the analysis and synthesis of manufacturing data and user requirements to assess process gaps, scope process development projects, and inform business decisions; proactively identified and negotiated solutions to resolve time-sensitive issues impacting 3,500+ units of life-saving treatments (savings worth $2.5M)- Hired, trained, and managed data analyst on SQL programming & best practices for data analysis and presentations to executive members

- Developed, launched, managed, and scaled the full drug product life cycle, including wet-lab experiments, execution of go-to-market plans, and internal organizational preparedness- Created and led team culture impact assessment for Executive Leadership Team through survey design and discussion facilitation for 50-person organization

- Patented and engineered a drug treatment for Clostridium difficile infection - Conceptualized, designed, and implemented complete product packaging including: labels, boxes, product inserts and user-specific documentation; still in use today
