As the Staten Island Borough Coordinator, I build awareness and support locally for VISIONS many free services. I am proud to represent this amazing non-profit so that we can help even more people to continue to thrive despite vision loss. I promote our services directly to providers and the public via health fairs and other forms of community outreach along with recruiting and engaging a Staten Island Advisory Board and building partnerships with community businesses, agencies and individuals.

I've always enjoyed writing, editing and proofreading as well as public relations and marketing through storytelling, events and social media. I help brands engage more supporters, customers, followers and fans. Having spent almost 20 years as a healthcare marketing executive, I now specialize in healthcare, medical and wellness copywriting. Earlier in my career, I worked on the agency side at amazing global media, entertainment and publishing companies such as MTV, Sports Illustrated and Saatchi Advertising.

I oversaw the marketing and communications team that supported a large multi-specialty medical group of over 40 providers. I directed strategy and execution for all marketing and PR strategic initiatives, including digital, social, video, event marketing, publicity and collateral. I worked closely with the CEO on special projects and I planned and executed physician-hosted public and peer education events in Staten Island and Manhattan. I enjoyed building relationships and finding creative solutions. I encouraged my team to take risks and pride myself on recognizing their efforts and supporting their professional growth.

I managed a wide range of marketing, advertising and communications efforts, and represented the hospital at many community and business events. I was instrumental in obtaining a grant to support the hospital’s health literacy initiatives as part of their first Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. I was honored to be recognized by the NY Organ Donor Network for my efforts in publicizing the cause of organ donor awareness.
