Research assistant at Dr. Brady Maher’s lab. Started as an intern and participated in the Pitt Hopkins Syndrome project. Currently involved in the Pipeline project for Schizophrenia, assisting in the stem cell work and genome investigation of the organoids.

After graduating from high school, I consistently tutored secondary school students and an undergraduate. The subjects I taught were bookclub, SAT English, College level Statistics, Algebra, and Precalculus. As I was preparing for the classes, it helped me review and strengthen the knowledge I had. With responsibility, I adjusted the lesson plans specific to the levels of each student and gave them weekly feedback. Each student’s personality and studying methods are different, so it was essential for me to quickly find a way to handle them. Overall, this experience shaped me to become a flexible and responsible person.

Scribing at OB/GYN and Orthopedics departments. Recording electronic medical charts for doctors during their encounter with patients. Detailed charting of patient medical histories, chief complains, physical exams, and assessment and plans. Gained knowledge about medical terms, procedures, and closely observed physicians.

Assisting sections in course Physics 1 for engineering majors and Physics 2 for engineering majors twice every week. Held office hours to help students with understanding concepts, complete homework and prepare for exams.

Gained research experience at a lab focused in the connectomics of cerebellum. Designed mice behavioral experiment related to stress and exercise. Performed behavioral tests on mice and analyzed the data. Precisely injected virus in mice brain and performed clean perfusion for observations and imaging. Stained the brain and imaged through confocal microscopy.
