1. In 1936, Mildred Gill Kramer, one of the first women to graduate from the UW-Madison School of Business, founded Kramer Printing. Kramer was a pioneer in an industry dominated by men and built a flourishing letter shop on the Capitol Square.Over the last 84 years, we have moved from a small letter shop, to a high-quality print, creative and marketing service provider. After taking part in that transformation for the last 30 years, I made the decision to purchase Kramer Madison in the fall of 2019. It’s such an honor to follow in the footsteps of a female business owner and printing pioneer and bring Kramer Madison full circle and once again be woman owned.Kramer Madison is now a certified Woman-Owned Small Business through the US. Small Business Administration.
