Christopher Gindlesperger is Senior Vice President of Public Affairs & Communications for the National Confectioners Association where he leads a sixteen-time Telly Award-winning communications and marketing team. He oversees all communications, media relations and marketing activities and serves as chief public affairs strategist and spokesman for America’s chocolate and candy companies. In addition to managing industry challenges, Chris works proactively to purposefully position the world's most recognizable companies, brands and industries by developing initiatives that demonstrate corporate leadership and build trust with consumers.Chris’s professional experience spans more than 20 years in public affairs and political, campaign and crisis communications. He has worked for a range of organizations, elected officials and award-winning campaigns, including the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the American Beverage Association and the National Confectioners Association.Over the course of his career, Chris has engaged successfully in several high-profile public policy debates including the New York City soda ban, the Senate confirmation of the first African American U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, warning labels on food packaging, food taxes and many others.
