Camp Runoia is a private overnight summer camp located in Belgrade Lakes, Maine. Our sleep away camp has been providing camp experiences for girls ages 7-16 since 1907.As the Assistant Director my in-season and off-season roles varied as the flow of the industry. In-Season Responsibilities- Designed and executed staff training during staff orientation.- Supervised staff in activity areas and residential living. - Arbitrated dispute resolution between campers.- Reviewed staff performance and executed in-service training. - Communicated with parents and families during the camp season. - Organized major whole camp events. - Program Director - In charge quality control of classes and teaching, supervised all program staff and Heads of activities.- Positive change agent to staff culture.- Planned, directed and supervised a safe and fun waterfront program.- Led activity area closing procedures post-camp. - Reviewed program reports and implemented necessary changes for the following year.
