I love numbers and puzzles. What could be more rewarding than figuring out where $100 is hiding? I thrive when given a challenge. Analyzing and crunching numbers to make the company I work for more profitable, more efficient, and presenting my findings in a way that will make sense to each level of management is a fun day for me.I knew in middle school that I wanted to be an accountant. I started out learning the basics of accounting and worked for a company that gradually gave me more and more responsibility as I got a good understanding of each area of accounting. Cost accounting is my favorite job. I like order and for every penny to have a “home” it is assigned to. My job at a steel fabrication company is interesting because construction is a different monster compared to other service industry accounting jobs. I have enjoyed management positions in human resources, customer service, and accounting. As long as I can do so without compromising my personal and professional ethics, I will always put my company’s goals first. I excel at the execution of challenging work. I take pride in my work. Making the company shine gives me pride as well. When I’m not working with numbers in an office, I’m counting my 37 chickens and 4 goats. I love to read mysteries and kayak.
