Enrichment Coordinator Parks
As the enrichment coordinator for the parks department I strive to ensure that animals across the park are receiving a variety of different mentally stimulating opportunities over the course of each week. As a game keeper at ALS I was responsible for the care of large hoofstock and big cat species including feedings and cleaning of pens. I was required to be clear and communicative throughout the day while monitoring the health and safety of the free ranging animals in the park. Further as a game keeper I was responsible for safely and clearly directing people and vehicles through the park on days we received upwards of 8000 visitors.
Animal Keeper
As an animal keeper at Scales I was required to care for the large collection of reptiles, amphibians and fish at the nature park. This included feeding, cleaning, health checks and enrichment. Further, in this role I was required to co-ordinate volunteers from around the world and to maintain the buildings and facilities. As educator, I helped to develop tools for enriching the learning experience at Scales Nature Park.
