• Supervise a team of 3 direct reports covering accounts in the United States and Canada• Manage credit for two brands in the United States and four brands in Canada• Perform collections with large Fortune 500 retailers and small mom-and-pop retail locations• Contact customers regarding past due balances and /or changes in their shipping status• Perform accurate credit analyses for potential clients to identify and mitigate risk related to contract terms.• Set up new accounts and credit terms• Work closely with over 25 sales representatives in the United States and Canada• Assist the collection team with accounts that need to be escalated by directly working with the customers and sales management for resolution and maintain positive, professional relationships• Recommend accounts for collections or to be reserved for potential bad debt loss• Review credit hold reports and release orders as warranted• Supply credit references as requested• Maintain records of legal issues as they relate to commercial credit and collections • Approve all credit memos up to $10,000• Prompt reporting of weekly, monthly, and quarterly receivables ageing • Provide weekly reports to controller with explanation for credit held
