The purpose of the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC) is to create a unified, global credentialing process for communication professionals at different career milestones and to provide a pathway for achieving and maintaining certification. The Council developed a competency framework and job task analysis for communication professionals to achieve this goal based on the IABC Global Standard. This standard was developed through research and consultation with the wider profession and is based on six core principles: ethics, strategy, analysis, context, engagement and consistency.
