I started my career as a Legislative Assistant in the House of Representatives in the early 70s. The D.C. life was too 'political' for me, so I quit my job and embarked on an extended hitchhiking trip through Europe. I settled in Munich in 1974, where I married, raised a family and worked as a journalist, translator and editor. In 1995, I returned to the U.S. in 1995. Since then, I've worked as a communications strategist, translator and writer for German and U.S. global companies. My passion is for pushing the envelope, questioning the status quo and seeking to innovate -- every day. I serve as a strategic advisor, developing messaging and communications strategies for senior-level executives. I also have considerable experience in leading employee communications during large-scale mergers and acquisitions ($30+ billion merger of Thermo Electron and Fisher Scientific).
