In this role, I was responsible for a wide range of tasks, overseeing both the strategic and day-to-day operations of the IT department. My duties included the implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of network systems and servers, as well as providing support for end-user issues, such as formatting documents or setting up Dropbox accounts.My core responsibilities encompassed a variety of areas, including:• Troubleshooting, maintenance, setup, and implementation of Server 2003/2008/2008 R2, VMWare 4.0, vSphere, Summation iBlaze, Exchange 2007, SEA Email Archive, OWA, ActiveSync, IP telephony systems, SQL 2005/2008, Microsoft Office 2007/2010, Word Perfect X4, Windows XP/7, Terminal Services, WordPress (company website), Backup Exec, Appassure, Vipre AV, Client Profiles 9.0, Copitrak, ProWatch, WSUS, Active Directory, Group Policy, 3Com and Adtran POE switches.• Managing department budgeting and projections, IT project management, desktop printers, wireless access, VLANs, and other critical infrastructure components.Beyond the typical responsibilities of an IT Director, I emphasized to my team the importance of understanding not only the systems we were directly responsible for but also the applications heavily used by our end users. As a result, I developed proficiency in various programs, including Dropbox, Box, CaseVault, Sanction, Audacity, TrialDirector, Apple iOS (BYOD), Android systems, WordRake, Adobe Pro 9/10, QuickTime Pro, forensic data retrieval from iOS and Android devices, and document conversion and formatting for several databases, among others.During my first six months in the position, I renegotiated contracts and eliminated unnecessary services, resulting in savings of approximately $1,300 per month. Over the next three years, I further enhanced the efficiency of the department, streamlined staffing and services, and achieved total cost savings of nearly $1,000,000 in IT-related expenses for the organization.
