Established mandatory 8 week Palliative Care orientation program for APRNs. Developed and implemented numerous clinical and administrative guidelines. Assisted with recruitment of over 25 employees. Provided education, mentoring, and orientation for Palliative Care APRNs.

Beginning in 2012 transitioned 6 inpatient Palliative Care programs from an externally supported program to an employed model in one of the largest healthcare systems in the Carolinas. Hired 42 providers, developed and implemented APN and RN evidence-based orientation program, initiated Bereavement Committee and use of Bereavement Risk Index tool, initiated Education committee, created Providing Compassionate Care RN education program which has educated greater than 900 RNs in primary Palliative Care, championed and established Palliative Care NP Fellowship program, mentored 14 advanced practice nurses in professional development and displayed a 50% increase in Palliative Care consult volume and documented a Palliative Care program impact on length of stay and readmission rates. Was responsible for nine inpatient Palliative Care programs within the metro Charlotte area.
