Responsible for facilities, IP, CapEx, project and staff transfer • Realignment of 400+ patent portfolio with business strategy, resulting in over $1M in savings• Consult for $100M+ global biomedical technology accelerators to employ consistent approaches and best practices to translate and de-risk product concepts to meet the specific needs of stakeholders

A 15 member team selected by RTI’s CEO charged with inspiring and developing ideas and people to make RTI more innovative through coaching, events, and R&D investments • Led RTI’s “Ideathon,” a 2 day event designed to increase collaboration across RTI and to identify new ideas for future research; selected teams with highest potential for seed funding and incubation• As CD’s elected leader (2015), restructured our discrete programming into a company-wide integrated innovation curriculum and challenge, designated the Idea Kitchen. The innovation challenge included 300 participants, over 90 idea submissions and a 7:1 comment to idea ratio – engagement metrics that ranked this program at the top of corporate innovation challenges. In addition to new business generation, the IDEA Kitchen won an American Graphic Design Award and an RTI President’s Award.• Developed a lunch and learn, “The 30 second pitch,” which was taught to over 800 employees across the globe

As Center Director, I held P&L responsibilities for business and technical product development for new advanced materials and systems in energy, climate, health, and infrastructure. • Based on RTI's core capabilities and market interest, built and grew the upstream energy portfolio, expanding into polymer cements, nanomaterials and sensor networks through multi-million dollar collaborative product development with commercial entities• Established a medical device practice with over $15M in research funding to date • Consulted with government and private industry identifying potential risks and value of emerging materials and products through market research, intellectual property assessment and technology evaluation• Exceeded all financial metrics with year-over-year growth, moving from a new practice with 2 FTEs to a 20 FTE Center

CraZBrain is a science summer and track out camp founded by my husband and I, which builds on both our passions for science and education. The RTP-based camps provide a unique environment where science concepts are explored through hands-on experiences designing, building, problem solving, and re-creating. We utilize engaging camp themes including City Development, Lights, Camera Lego Action and Adventure Park Engineering to keep the campers motivated and energized all week long!
