On-site at the US Department of Transportation Volpe Center. Contractor lead for all ITS Standards Program activities at the Volpe Center. Served as the Secretariat for the ITS JPO Program Assessment User Session Experts (PAUSE). Supported FHWA Travel Model Improvement Program (TMIP) Peer Reviews and Exchanges and the XML in Center-to-Center User Group Meeting.• Redesigned and maintained the ITS Standards Website and associated databases in MS Access; researched, wrote, and managed reviews of ITS Standards Advisories; participated in strategic planning for the ITS Standards Outreach, Education, and Training Program; and collected needs for the ITS Standards Data Registry.• Assisted DDOT, MDOT, VDOT, and WMATA in developing and reaching consensus on an Operational Concept for CapCom Regional-scale Center-to-Center Communications Implementation Plan, a regional incident management system for the Washington DC area.

Greyhound Welfare is a greyhound rescue and placement group. We place ex-racing greyhounds throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area (MD, VA and DC), and in New England (MA, RI, NH). Our goal is to make excellent placements, even if that means fewer placements.

Researched and determined the status of vehicle emissions research and control strategies in the PRC through meetings with government officials and experts in the field. She produced recommendations for vehicle emissions model to be used in the Environmental Impact Assessments of projects funded by the ADB in PRC.

Updated the requirements and functional specfications for DIRECTV integrated receivers and decoders. Managed the deployment of an updated version of the DIRECTV national rain fade monitoring system; researched new backwards compatible data processing techniques through simulation and a data capture system; managed the rebuild of a satellite emulator to simulate interference on modulation encoding; and updated the dual-motor antenna pointing hardware system for clear sky margin monitoring in Labview. • Served as a US Delegate to successfully negotiate protection of the Broadcast Satellite System (BSS) spectrum through participation in International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Developed a simulation model of interference from neighboring satellite systems using Matlab.• Served as the DIRECTV Intellectual Property/Engineering liaison and Patent Committee Member.
