While working and playing competitive sports throughout high school and into college, I learned to develop discipline, work hard, team collaboration, and ambition. Today, these same principles guide me through my career journey as President & Founder of Matern Staffing, a third generation staffing agency headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA serving Virginia, Maryland, and beyond. At Matern Staffing I build partnerships with top companies and talent to help communities thrive, just as my family's generations have done before me. Since joining the staffing industry in 2015, Matern Staffing has hit these milestones: - Rebranded with new name, new owner - Grown internal staff by nearly 150% - Converted to 100% digital recruiting and hiring process - Added executive search and direct hire staffing solutions - Moved into a larger office to accommodate growth and opportunity - Connected over 3,400 job seekers with job opportunities - Partnered with over 40 new clients to provide staffing solutions for their businesses - Started serving the healthcare industry I’m very grateful to our staff, employees, and clients who continue to use our services, and I also enjoy building new partnerships through my service on community boards and networking with local professionals. I'm not afraid to experiment with new processes and technologies, and set high expectations, while asking lots of questions along the way. I look forward to leading Matern Staffing into the next decade by carrying on my family's tradition of strengthening the workforce by placing job seekers with the region's best companies. Outside of work, I recharge through running and spending time with my daughter. What I appreciate about my job is being able to pursue both my personal goals and professional passions.
