Client required that all sql take place via calls to stored procedures, so extensive Transact-SQL was employed. Technologies were primarily .Net 3.5, C#, SQL Server, JSON, AJAX, javascript.

The website’s primary purpose was the ability to search against this data using a wide variety of criteria, as well as to provide searching and exhibition of maps, graphs, and white papers on various countries and topics. The site was constructed in ASP .NET, using C#, with a SQL Server back end. JSON files, javascript, and JQuery were used to bring added usability to the front end interface. Google Maps technology was used to facilitate searching for images/papers via global images. Lead developer on interactive pages, and served as mentor for periodic teams of interns.

Worked as the lead on a development team to create an administration portal (Admin Portal) for management of a large scale human resources application (Recruiter’s Portal)The Admin Portal allowed addition/modification/deletion of users and groups, assigning various system permissions to roles, and then groups to those subsequent roles. Scheduling of imports and exports from customer systems was administered, as well as creation and assigning of triggers (various actions that would take place within the Recruiter’s Portal upon meeting certain circumstances; for example – emails being fired off upon a candidate being placed in a “Hired”criteria). The application was written using an ASP model with Visual Basic 6 (VB6) components and a SQL Server 8.0 database. Data was retrieved in XML and transformed using XSL. All client-side script was Javascript.Import Export Utility. Worked to develop a utility to import and export various types of customer data (candidate, requisition, etc.) into the SQL Server 8.0 database for use by the Recruiter’s Portal. Imports and exports were formatted in XML. Visual Basic 6.0 (VB6) components were used to perform necessary manipulation to enter imports into the database, and to format exports into the correct XML. File manipulation was accomplished via these components, and a scheduler was built into the Admin Portal to allow users to perform hourly, daily, one-time only exports and to dictate file names and locations. FTP was used to deliver export files.

Real Estate Application and Database. Developed an Access 7.0 for a large local real estate company in Raleigh NC. At the client’s request, both the front end and back end were developed in Access 7.0. The database housed information for all real estate listings for which the firm was either the selling or listing agent. All agents and their associated percentages were also housed. The application was expanded to perform as a General Ledger for the company. Over 60 reports were included in the application.

An Access 97 database with a Visual Basic front end was developed to handle responding to comments received as a result of public hearings on the Colorado Airspace Initiative Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The National Environmental Policy Act, under which the document was written, demands full response to public comments from the federal agency proposing the initiative. The primary duty of this database was to guide the user through the response process, including delegation of comments to the appropriate responder (biological concerns to a biologist), inputting responses to the comments and retaining the correct order, and generating responses to be paired to the commentor’s letter.
