Project: DOD Project • Programming in JAVA on a data grooming service project that provides segmentation and parsing of data for ingest to the cloud. Use Java Regular Expressions in segmenting files in existing code. Utilize in-house segmentation tool to aid in cross-referencing the results of segmenting changes in an in-house web-tool. Make updates to parsing existing code and refined data generated tests and unit tests. • Perform codes reviews, use JIRA, GitLab, Maven, Confluence, and attend weekly and quarterly meetings.

Project: DOD Project• Served as the TTO lead for 10 contractors on web applications: a dictionary search in over 900 languages (includes morphological analysis and a glossary) with MarkLogic and a new Elasticsearch/MongoDB backend, a terminology management system, and content management system. Tasks included hiring, managing the team, interfacing with government customers, and preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly status reports for a language knowledge system. Responsible for two live systems, custom deployments on hardware and virtual machines for customers. Managing requirements, planning, tasking, and work closely with customer to perform Agile spin planning in JIRA. Works with the entire Atlassian suite of tools.• Re-architect, design and code UI in Angular 5, PrimeNG, Primefaces, Java Server Faces, Java, Javascript and CSS. Developed multiple Firefox Add-ons that show pop-up information for highlighted words in a browser that were found our system through REST services. Modified it to WebExtensions using Websockets for speed. Developed taxonomy visualization using D3.js. Support Section 508 compliance in UI. Wrote JUnit and Selenium automated tests. Support Sonar code quality tool.• Supported help-desk operations, responding to user inquiries and trouble-shooting.• Maintained hardware and software renewals. Lead development team in analyzing, designing, coding, and testing a web application that read in large datasets and allowed the user to filter temporal data against pivot column data to view visualizations such as a heat map, line, bar, pie, and radar charts. Can be used as separate widgets in (Ozone Widget Framework) OWF. Technologies: Backbone.js and D3.js.

Project: DOD Project • Wrote web apps in Ext JS using Restful services to illustrate sharing of data across clouds for the IC community. Placed apps such as a D3.js calendar widget in Ozone Widget Framework (OWF) and communicated positions to locate on a Google like Map widget.• Used in-house data ingest system to parse and canonicalize data into the HDFS cloud. Blazed the trail for this and have become the go-to person for this process.• Wrote Hadoop MapReduce program proof of concept for retrieving IC data from the cloud.• Worked with DOD in-house storage system, HDFS, and Accumulo on Linux system. Manipulated data into shard tables that use a hash portioning scheme.• Taught OWF boot camp class to LM colleagues.

Project: DOD Project• Designed and developed a Rich Internet Application (RIA) using Ext-JS in an Agile environment for entity screening. Serving as the POC with Usability Engineering, the customer, middleware and the database tiers to promote flow of communication and design. Other responsibilities include peer reviews and daily standup meetings.

Project: DOD Project • Designed, coded, and tested in Eclipse RCP, an analytic workflow desktop application for language analysis. Developed in an Agile environment, including plug-in configuration, OSGi services, and UI development (jFace, SWT). Resolved complex dependency issues between voice, speech, and text plugins using Java design patterns and collaborated with 3rd party partners with successful implementation of this code. Incorporated HTML, CSS “Getting Started” screen into the app. Served as the “go to” person for several plugins. Other responsibilities include peer reviews, daily standup meetings, and help desk support.

Project: DOD Project• Worked on a n-tiered data warehousing system that utilizes J2EE, Ext-Js, Spring, EJB, and Web Services. Influenced front end tier UI language change from Spring MVC Webflow to Ext-JS. Designed and wrote a complex advanced query component using multiple data sources in Ext-Js while remoting through DWR to the sever side. Also served as a liaison between the test team and the development team resulting in improved communications between the teams and enhanced ClearQuest tracking processes.

Project: DOD Project • Designed and wrote a file attachments component in Ext-JS for a target knowledge system. Connected the model into existing Spring MVC WebFlow for the UI portion of a data sharing system. Wrote export and print functionality with ECS and IText.

Project: DOD Project • Enhanced web application identifying vulnerabilities with ADF Faces and Tiles. Eliminated use of heavy session management. Used JSTL to introduce variable table column sizing. • Programmed a proof of concept prototype wiring Swing, Spring, and JDBC together.

Project: DOD Project• Solely redesigned, coded, and tested an existing in-house web application that maintained and stored virus signature information as single entities and groups using object oriented technology. Designed and wrote Web Services. Developed PKI/SSL sign-on authentication, authorization and management of user roles, and created file downloads in XML, CSV, and EBNF formats. Enhanced paging and greatly sped retrieval of database information using SQL. Technologies include JSP, Servlets, XMLBeans, JAX-WS, StAX, JavaBeans, DOM/Javascript, XHTML, CSS, JDBC, DAO pattern, and SQL using Netbeans IDE. Worked with an Oracle DB and JBoss server on the Linux platform.• Programmed a prototype using new web application technologies such as JavaServer Faces and Tiles.

Project: National Archives ERA Project • Analyzed, designed and programmed the Ingest Verification/Preservation process to take in various file formats, read metadata from plugins, and report the data against NARA Standards and Data Type Template (DTT) Verification services. This included incorporating the Manage DTT and Manage Code Lists design. • Used UML in Borland Architect for design, presented material at Code Design Review and wrote detailed designs in the Software Design Specs.• Mentored junior programmers in OOP. Wrote instructions on WIKI on XMLBeans. Devised intricate schema designs for various reports. Learned and wrote user interface in Spring MVC.• Attended NARA’s Advanced Electronic Records Management Class.

Projects: Work Force Database System for LM.• Completed the system to the Work Force Database System redesign and made it production ready.

Project: DOD Program • Designed and wrote JSP/Java fix for Netegrity SiteMinder login bug. Wrote to the LDAP directory updating fields so a user would be locked out after logging in three times with an invalid password.

Projects: Volunteered for these projects while awaiting clearance.• From August 2005 - Feb 2006, contributed to an embedded chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) sensor system for Maritime Systems and Sensors. Programmed simulators and sensor screens as Servlets that send and receive commands to communicate with sensor devices utilizing Oscar, an open source implementation of the Open Services Gateway Initiative (OSGi) framework specification for embedded devices. • From May 2005 – August 2005, contributed to the Work Force Database System redesign, a system that maintained recruiting information. Designed and programmed a dynamic interface that enables an administrator to assign roles to users with permissions that allow pages, buttons, and fields to be viewable, editable or invisible. Programmed this effort in JSP, Struts, DAO pattern, and JDBC with database development under MYSQL. Used Eclipse IDE.• Worked for the Director of Development Technology Centers (DTC) developing and maintaining the DTC web site as well as managing membership in the Communities of Practice Collaboration sites. Also managed Point of Contact (POC) information and handled administrative functions of the Engineering Process Review (EPR) Tool, which included creating and updating various statistical reports on statuses for IS&S programs. Wrote the Administration User’s Guide and trained a new administrator.• Instructor for the Java Swing and Applet portion of Software Solutions with Java class. • Initiated and involved in a Java and STRUTS program study group.• Contributed as a member of the Skills Management Team.• Co-Chair for the IS&S Hanover Women’s Network. Project: Maryland Insurance Administration’s (MIA) enterprise and web site systems.• The UI team lead for the MIA’s website. Developed dynamic HTML pages using Java Server Pages (JSP), JavaBeans, and JavaScript on a three-tiered, thin client/server network. Taught the UI team the technology needed to stand up the web pages. Designed and programmed dynamic content management system allowing users to easily update pages. • The UI team lead for their web-based enterprise system focusing on data retrieval, report generation, and document routing. Responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of Java UI with Swing, EJB, CORBA, and JDBC components for a SYBASE database. Designed and programmed dynamic role based permission system for sign-on from the operation down to the field level.

Project: Hubble Space Telescope Vision 2000• Designed and programmed portions of the web-based Control Center that monitored the health and safety of the spacecraft using Java and C++. Applications included a UI Server in C++, and in Java: an enhanced List class, Dump Analyzer, Telemetry Pipeline Manager, and File Management windows, a toolbar that listens for port connections to the UI server, CGI programs, and utility programs. Also enabled security certificates on the web server.• Managed new releases and the integration of the UI group’s code with all other areas and control configuration management.

Project: Medical Information and Archive Distribution system (MIADS) for Georgetown University Medical Center • Supervisor, lead designer, and programmer of the Java UI application. This system sent medical images to an optical disk and information to an ORACLE database.

Project: Intelligent Traffic System for Maryland Highways • Sole developer of a C++, Motif UI application. This system allowed traffic controllers to monitor traffic and highway conditions. The system included windowing capabilities, user customization, menus, a login screen, camera and variable message sign screens, that access a SYBASE database.

Project: Earth Observing System (EOS) for NASA• Developed the Flight Operations User Interface for spacecraft controllers in C++ and Motif. A portion of programs written include customizing and enhancing the Event Display window with zoom graph capabilities that displays real-time and history spacecraft events. Wrote a double scrolling spreadsheet, a time selector, and a graph window. Programmed and tested low-level utilities such as link list and logging functions.• Designed, programmed, and animated real-time updates of a spacecraft and its instruments with telemetry values. This was done on the SUN in 2D with Dataviews, on the SUN and SGI in 3D with Open Inventor and Inventor, and on the SUN in virtual reality/3D with WorldToolKit. Used Microstation as the CAD package to manipulate the 3D spacecraft and instrument models for the real-time update programs. • Wrote requirements, designed object-oriented specs using StP/OMT, wrote PDL and documentation for several UI applications including the Display Builder. The Builder allows a user to custom design a report with tables, graphs, and labels and build dynamic schematics on the fly.

• Solely resolved problematically designed CRIS Acquisition System. Programmed and implemented all JCL, and decreased runtime for sites that acquired new credit accounts onto files.• Redesigned the Account Fulfillment System utilizing Tablebase for flexible processing of credit accounts. Frequent interpersonal contact with users.• Instructor for TableBase class.• Programmed, tested, certified and supported Front End Processor ATM on-line transactions utilizing COBOL and CICS.
