ZARA SPAIN has launched a new program called "Changemaker" which is aiming to introduce and expand the sustainable achievements and commitments that the company is currently doing. There was a selection process around the world to select those Changemakers. I am excited to be the only Changemaker to represent Australia and New Zealand.As a changemaker, we are getting capacitated and trained by the sustainability experts of ZARA SPAIN with the purpose to know more about all the insides of the company such as supply chain, factory processes, stores installations, etc; to make it more sustainable in the future. We are working together with people around the world to make first ZARA sustainable in our local area and then share the ideas to other stores around the world to make a bigger impact.

This role allow me to provide a high level customer service while paying attention to detail to identify what the customers are looking for and be of help before they even ask. Here I demonstrate effective attention to detail by anticipating customer needs. I was also able to utilise my management skills to maintain a clean, organised inventory and curated displays of rotating seasonal clothing and accessories, and to meticulously handled POS system transactions include credit, cash, exchange, returns, and refunds to ensure seamless and accurate cash flow.My pride moment in this role was to receive great feedback from my managers and coworkers for providing a great customer service and thus improving the sales of the store. Even though, it is my first retail job, it was not an impediment to demonstrate what I am capable of and do my best in every task needed.

Working at a quarantine hotel brought me some challenges but most importantly, many of my skills were strengthened.Here I demonstrated personal qualities such as responsibility, carefulness and attention to details as we are in close contact with guests in quarantine. Some of my duties is to attend guests with drinks, food or any inquire over the phone and deliver it to their rooms. Also, I am responsible to collect items from guests and dispose them following COVID-19 safety measurements such as correct PPE, use of specific disposal bins and sanitising procedures. I consider this role very beneficial for strengthening myself as a worker because any mistake made could have several ramifications. I am working in a place where I need to put first my safety and the safety of others. Thus, I believe I am doing a great job in this role as I am emphasising aspects of responsibility, carefulness, attention to details and I am following correctly COVID-19 regulations.

This role allowed me to improve my skills of communication, team work and management. One of my key responsibilities that I managed successfully was to promote team collaboration, performance and efficiency by fostering healthy environments focused on mutual success. I was also in charge of managing inventory control, cash control and store opening and closing procedures.My key achievements was to be promoted as a store manager. My employer constantly congratulated me about my up-to-the-mark customer service and the smooth way to handle situations under pressure from multiple orders and customer complaints.
