I was responsible for coordinating a group of about 40 people in the development of an autonomous UAV, powered by solar energy. In particular, I have tried to distribute the work by delegating tasks of responsibility and putting all the members in the best position to be able to express their potential.In addition to coordinating technical activities, my duties included managing the budget and expenses, participating in recruiting activities, managing relationships with academic leaders, companies, and sponsors, and coordinating with other divisions within the team.

I was part of the structures division throughout my stay at Icarus until I became its manager. Over the years I have had the opportunity to deal with various tasks including the structural analysis of components mainly in composite material with the finite element method (FEA), the characterization with experimental tests of carbon fiber composites, and the design of the drone structures.In addition to the activities related to the study of the structures, I was also involved in the production of the aircraft, building the carbon fiber parts in the laboratory, but also dealing with other production processes such as the design and preparation of the molds and the production of 3D printed components FDM.
