Associate Teacher
CurrentImplement behavioral plans to meet students' needs for social, educational, cognitive, mental and physical development. Observe and evaluate students and provide feedback to parents and lead teachers. Knowledge of behavior strategies including but not limited to how to manage the environment, following basic icon schedules, utilization of positive behavior interventions, and basic reinforcement skills. Showing patience, respect, and compassion in working with student. Adapt general classroom material to meet the needs of the assigned student, per the IEP. Provide academic support to student with mental disabilities and challenging behaviors. Support lead teachers and help with instructions and activities. Support other classrooms when asked to substitute for the day or days as needed. Collaborated in managing a safe and progressive learning environment. Collect data on student behaviors and academic progress.
