I am the daughter of 2 Mediterranean islands, my father is from Malta and my mother from Sicily ... I was born and grew up in Taormina, where my life’s view has always been overlooking Mount Etna and the deep blue Ionian sea!In the spring of 2020 I decided to join my father’s business and live on a little motor boat. From June to September I live and work at Yacht Hotel Taormina Moorings and during the winter months we are based in Porto dell’Etna - Marina di Riposto. In the same year together with my mother, I opened a B&B “Villa Giorgia” in the center of Taormina. My mother’s passion for art and gardening has helped in creating a unique traditional home embellished with antique Sicilian furnishings.I love nature and the extraordinary island where I live. I have always been protective of the environment and became more and more conscious of the need to protect and safeguard the marine environment. Today Yacht Hotel is actively promoting the protection of the seabed.I am a resourceful woman who likes a challenge and, with so much willpower, I always achieve my goals. When I talk to my clients I try and assist them in seeing Sicily through my own eyes. I worked for a number of years in my sister’s typical Sicilian Trattoria where I learned many Sicilian recipes and became knowledgeable about wines and in particular those from Mount Etna. I like food and cooking, and I always give some advice on how to cook Sicilian food when accompanying chefs on their trips ashore for fresh local provisioning.My role as concierge at the moorings consists in supporting crew and the yacht’s guests in everything that they may need in order to ensure that their stay in Taormina is a successful and memorable experience.
