The Georgian Apparel and Fashion Association was created with the support of the clusters4development project funded by the European Union and the German Government and implemented by GIZ.The vision for GAFA is to develop a cooperative and innovative space where fashion, technology, sustainability, and knowledge meet – a space in which different stakeholders within Georgia’s apparel industry support and collaborate with each other, to build a strong image of Georgia’s apparel and fashion industry – at local, regional and international level.The mission of GAFA is to represent, promote and support Georgian apparel and fashion companies while increasing their competitiveness on the markets and to furnish apparel producers, independent brands and designers with the tools and skills to be competitive in terms of sustainable production, product quality, fashion design, skilled labour and international branding.

• Handling all wholesale accounts, seeking for new potential buyers and managing all relations with current retailers• Managing all operations related to the store & staff• Preparing and completing action plans, budgets and reports (seasonal resorts on collection’s performance by regularly following up on all sales)• Developing the business distribution’s channel both online and offline by selling numerous new points of sales

The objective of this assignment is to revise and update existing TVET program in apparel production and minimize skills gap of the workforce currently faced by the sector.

All the merchandize found in Dots ranging from jewelry pieces to clothing articles are made by Georgian designers and produced in our own high-tech factory facility. • Overseeing marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product line strategy• Communication with international press offices, buyers and guests• Design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy

MATÉRIEL is unique in its approach to the fashion business; it is comprised of young Georgian designers who create their own seasonal and mini collections for the brand. MATÉRIEL directly aids the evolution of the Georgian fashion scene by giving opportunities to young Georgian designers to realize and grow their work. MATÉRIEL is a constant participant in domestic and international fashion scenes with highly positive feedback from global media representatives.• Monitoring market trends, researching consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues• Establishing performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates• Writing and presenting reports to senior management and Brand Partners

Functions during the internship:• Assisting at contemporary exhibitions, including correspondence, document translations and assembling and setting up the exhibitions: Manolo Blahnik: The Art of Shoes,’’ Anselm Kiefer, for Velimir Khlebnikov,’’ The Henkin brothers: A Discovery. People of 1920s-30s Berlin and Leningrad,’’ Nefertari and the valley of the queens.’’ • Content research and creation of an app focused on understanding major destinations of Peter the great visit to France in 1717 and its influence on Russian society. The app was used at two major events organized by the Hermitage Museum, including 'Night of the Museums' in Saint Petersburg (May '17 and the Russo-European festival 'Discover your Europe at the Hermitage' (September '17).• Responsible for contacting, liaising with and coordinating 20+ volunteers to assist during events offered by the Hermitage Volunteer Service. • Presented my research on early 18th century Russian and French society at the 10th Franco-Russian Congress on Peter the Great. My study was titled "Researching Régence Fashion (1715-1723): Doubts, Difficulties and Open Questions."

Beaumonde magazine exists since 1996 and due to its informative content, high-quality design and print and tending to permanently develop has become a love mark in Georgia. The format of the magazine has changed for two times and nowadays Beaumonde represents a Glossy Magazine consisting of 132 pages, including sections about Fashion and other cultural news, famous people from arts and other spheres, beauty and fashion advice, unique and exclusive Fashion and Beauty photo sessions.Duties included:• Prepared articles related to fashion and art topics in a modern world for monthly issues, which was distributed in whole Georgia. • Managed and developed new social media strategy, for Facebook and Instagram, which caused an increase in the number of likes and shares by 200% in the first quarter.

A weekly 20-25-minute television program for youth has been produced by 15-21-year-old young journalists since 2005. Internews equips young participants with journalism knowledge and skills, helps them to form or maintain proper attitudes, and coordinates the production. Our Express serves as a platform for Georgian youth to voice their concerns or views about the issues that affect their lives and lives of their peers every day. Our Express is a video content created by youth for youth. The project is broadcasted by Channel One (Public Broadcaster) every Sunday at 11:00 am.
