Hello, I’m currently teaching at Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, where I’m professor of Design and Model Making. I practice the profession of freelance industrial & product designer since 1990 in Milan, London, Los Angeles, Rome; My operating philosophy leads me to choose natural materials and recycled ones, with an extreme attention to aesthetics, ease of use and respect for the planet's resources.As a Freelance designer, I offer design consultancies in eco-design, creation of new products, educational activities dedicated to different age level, on ecological issues focused on the designer role. I currently collaborate with the Los Angeles based design studio No-Ego Design.As Senior Designer my main skills are: -Responsible of product creation and development's process -Definition and communication of design ideas and solutions through sketches and prototypes-Creation of 3D models,using 3D-CAD system and renderings -Making samples or working models by hand or using rapid prototyping equipment-Identification of suitable and competitive materials and production technologiesmore info and full-portfolio at www.giorgioceccottidesign.comEducationGraduated with honors at I.S.I.A. di Roma-Industrial & Product Design in 1990 with a final thesis in collaboration with Olivetti.In 2014 I returned to I.S.I.A. of Rome and graduated in 2nd level Master (Master of Science) in "Systems Design " At the same time, I started collaborating as assistant of Professor Giordano Bruno in his course of Mathematics for Design.I used to teach design and digital manufacturing in FabLab at F.M.D. in Rome, and I was Professor Coordinator for ERASMUS+ at I.S.I.A. di Roma.I am Co-founder of the ZERO WASTE ROMA group, and I collaborate with Centro di Ricerca Rifiuti Zero (Zero Waste Research Center) di Capannori (Lucca) where I assist Rossano Ercolini, (winner of the Goldman Environmental Prize 2013) on Eco Design issues.
