Leading a team of 6 physics professors, I devote week nights and weekends to prepare high-school students for international physics competitions such as the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) and the International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT).My main activities, responsibilities and results include: - Lecturing theoretical and experimental courses at undergraduate level physics. - Mentoring Olympic physics students. - Traveling abroad with the Brazilian delegation for international competitions.My students have collected several gold, silver and bronze medals through out theses years at OIbF, IPhO, EuPhO and IYPT. Some went on to study at top universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

At Embraer, I worked on the development of in-house engineering simulation software focused on structural analyses of aerospace structures and their manufacturing processes.My main activities and responsibilities included: - Development of a unified platform to integrate all in-house structural analysis and optimization codes. - Implementation of new computational techniques to improve aircraft manufacturing methods and tighten tolerances. - Writing engineering reports and documenting new engineering workflows.Although I was part of the Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) division, I had a great interaction with the Technological Development team to implement cutting-edge computational methods to enhance airplane manufacturing.

Working at the largest wind tunnel in Latin America, I performed CFD simulations of complex fluid flow. These simulations, coupled with wind tunnel results, led to the development of higher accuracy experimental methods. My main activities and responsibilities included: - CAD modeling, mesh generation and CFD simulations of complex systems. - Comparison between simulation results and experimental measurements. - Development of higher accuracy experimental methods using CFD.

Leading a team of ten engineering students, I was responsible for the aerodynamic design and structural manufacturing of the Imperius rocket.My main activities, responsibilities and results include: - Managing a group of 10 multidisciplinary engineering students. - Aerodynamics and structural design of high-powered rockets. - In-house manufacturing of composites and metal parts. - First Brazilian university-built rocket to receive authorization and launch in an official launch site in Brazil.
