As part of my role as a Research Intern at mikeroweWORKS, I investigate potential guest speakers for the company podcast, synthesizing complex information and crafting well-structured arguments to draft comprehensive scripts. This involves researching prominent figures in skilled trades promotion and workforce development, while monitoring database changes and tracking program metrics. I explore stories of remarkable individuals or extraordinary circumstances, refining and illuminating MRW's core principles in the podcast scripts. Additionally, I actively participate in team brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas for upcoming campaigns aimed at educating community members about career opportunities in skilled trades. This multifaceted approach ensures engaging content creation and effective promotion of skilled trades within the community.

As a member of Phi Alpha Theta: Alpha Nu Gamma Chapter, National History Honor Society, and as an editor for the Cal Poly SLO History Department's student-run peer-reviewed journal, The Forum, I play a key role in shaping scholarly discussions on campus. The Forum is a historical journal published at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo by students associated with the Cal Poly History Department and the university’s chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. Through publication of The Forum, the members of the Alpha-Nu-Gamma chapter of Phi Alpha Theta hope to highlight the contribution of the Cal Poly History Department to the university environment, foster intellectual exchange, and showcase the significance and diversity of the field of history. My responsibilities include providing content revisions to strengthen authors' arguments by offering suggestions to sharpen or reframe ideas. Additionally, I focus on technical editing, ensuring adherence to the Chicago Manual of Style and correcting punctuation, grammar, and typographical errors. Working under the guidance of the Executive Editor and two Associate Editors, I contribute to the publication of our annual issue, gaining valuable experience in academic publishing and enhancing my skills in editorial review.

Phi Alpha Theta (ΦΑΘ) is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. The society has over 400,000 members, with some 9,000 new members joining each year through 970 chapters nationwide. Phi Alpha Theta is a professional society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. We seek to bring students and teachers together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by our members in a variety of ways.

As Secretary and Board Member for the Cal Poly College of Liberal Arts, Student Diversity Committee (CLA SDC), my role involves identifying curricular and programming needs to enhance the multicultural competence of CLA students, faculty, and staff, thereby aiding in the recruitment and retention of traditionally underrepresented groups. This includes hosting events and programs that foster cohesiveness, empathy, and mutual respect within the CLA community, while maintaining accurate records and turnout statistics. Additionally, the role advises on developing a diversity assessment plan for the college, monitoring progress to ensure accountability in achieving diversity goals, and managing both internal and external communications to facilitate effective information flow. Oversight of committee organization is essential to ensure accessibility and alignment, working closely with the dean to provide leadership in diversity efforts and translating the Cal Poly Diversity Strategic Framework into actionable plans for the college.

As part of my commitment to supporting international students, International Welcome Ambassadors (IWAs) offer a comprehensive peer support system to help newcomers adapt to life in California, providing assistance in any way possible. I actively advocate for students' needs, communicating directly with supervisors on their behalf while ensuring legal questions are redirected to qualified professionals. To foster cross-cultural connections, I brainstorm and execute various group events and activities that bring together both international and domestic students. Additionally, I coordinate with local establishments in the Central Coast area to plan exciting excursions, offering international students a uniquely American experience and helping them fully immerse in their new environment.

Generating professional yet engaging content for social media platforms is essential to target potential scholarship recipients while maintaining the decorum expected of non-profit organizations.
